Hi. I am new to Roxio and am having difficulty in understanding how to take an hour and a half home DVD and use only 'hightlights'.
I have a new laptop, Compaq Presario and have completed a straight DVD copy of my home movie but I would now like to do a series of highlights to collate for family for Xmas. I have managed to copy the
video_ts folder to my harddrive. I then go to MYDVD and add movie which I then locate the .ifo or .vob file (either one will allow me to input the complete video). Now this is where I start to get confused. I go to edit movie and in there I found 'trim'. I select my start and finish times and it looks great - exactly what I want but when I go to preview it starts off back at the beginning whereas in the storyline I can see what I have 'trimmed'. So I thought maybe it doesn't show you your 'trim' file and went ahead and tried to burn to CD in the hope that it would work. An error saying 80004005 while encoding came up. I have read and read and searched and searched and am now just totally stumped! Would this be because it is an OEM? If anyone could help I would be most greatful. Maybe there is a much easier way to do it. I also don't think I have the videowave part. Thank you.
