BongoBob
I've installed and uninstalled dvd builder 6 (version 1.1.0.93) AT LEAST five times, and still get the same sickening results...cannot find a dvd burner. OR, most recently, after I installed the Pxengine, I got the error: "Unable to initialize dvd creator engine. Try reinstalling the software." What the heck? I'm certainly glad I didn't have to pay for this useless software, for it came with my Memorex dvd burner. What else can I do? To upgrade, I have to pay! I had Nero, but uninstalled it because your program had better attributes. Unless I can get this program running, as it should, I'll have to go back to Nero. Perhaps WindowsXP is to blame. I have tried ALL of the suggestions found within this forum, including the drive fixes. Any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated!!!
lynn98109
If it came with your burner, it is an OEM Version [Original Equipment Mfgr], and likely to be a cut-down form of the program. When Memorex contracted for the OEM Version, they also agreed to provide support, so they are the ones you should be contacting if you got this recently. If you got this a long time ago (and Version 6 is an old Version, the current one is 10), and you have replaced the burner, it is possible that is the cause - often OEM Versions that come with a burner will only support the burner they come with. Lynn Thank you very much, Lynn. I'll go that route. By the way, I used to be quite involved with a girl named Lynn. However, it is very much unlikely you are the same Lynn. Anyway, I appreciate the message. Sincerely, Bob Thank you so much for the info. I'll try contacting Memorex. Thank you, dear. Bob
