EMC 10

BINARY SYNAPSE

Question

Hello

I'm using WinXP Pro SP2(all updates included) with my EMC10 software.

Every time I reboot my PC, EventViewer catalogs the following event:

Event Type: Information

Event Source: AlbumCore10

Event Category: None

Event ID: 0

User: N/A

Description:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( AlbumCore10 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Service stopped.

This happens for AlbumCore10, Roxio Upnp Server 10, RoxLiveShare10, and RoxSniffer10.

The event is the same, only the source name (indicated above) differs!

If I can fix one issue, I can probably fix the others.

What is wrong?

Note: I'm using a local machine with Admin rights.

Thank you.

There is nothing wrong. The message (which is an information one, not an error), simply tells you that event viewer could not find the description of the event (which most likely is that Albumcore has started, or stopped; it says at the end of the description which it is).

I get the same for Album core and for one or two services from other apps (e.g. RichVideo from Cyberlink PowerDVD.

As for Roxio Upnp, Roxliveshare, you can set the services to manual in the services applet. They, will then only start if you need them.

Hello!

Ah... so it's normal then. Cool.

It's that I get tons of those warnings a day.

Sorry for the mixup.

Thank you.
