Nothing at all?

Hello,

 

Roxio Easy Media Creator 10.x installed it works fine.

 

Whenever my Norton runs and finds v32 worm and some other tracker stuff, so it seems, my Roxio won't even open... double click, nothing...

 

I then completely remove Roxio and do a clean reinstall and then it works... until, i think, Norton runs again finding the more items, and then bang, EMC wont work again...

 

Is it obviously Norton? It says i have the v32 worm(or whatever it says...).

Found it under EMC 9 - Norton is the problem, unless there are other ideas?

First you should run some online scans to be sure that you do not have a virus. There are plenty of free scans online but they may take some time to work. Also, get some free spyware programs such as Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy and make sure you don't have that in the way.

What version of Norton do you have? Norton's 1 Button Check up has caused problems with Roxio registry settings (as you've no doubt now read).

I spoke to a local, small computer shop owner recently and he told me he makes about $200 each week fixing what the current Norton programs do to computers....specifically, Norton 360. He tells me the stories are all the same. At first it works fine but after a few weeks of things getting slower and slower, the then can't get on the net and open some programs. Once he removes the software and cleans up the reg, they're back to normal. He's put in a complaint with Norton over 10 times and got no response yet. He's averaging 4 to 5 of these cleanups each week!
