Media Creator 10 Wont Run

Chris Nicola

Question

After Installing Easy Media Creator 10 the application will not run by clicking the desktop icon, programme menu or the launch.exe file in C/Programme Files/Roxio.

As a first step I would like to repair the installation using ADD/REMOVE Programmes. However that does not work as the repair process cant find the set up .msi file from the downloaded self extractor file.

Any advice how I can do a repair using the downloaded file?

Kind Regards

Chris

You could try just reinstalling the program but if that doesn't work, it's probably best to start over with a clean install.

XP Clean Install Instructions

Vista Clean Install Instructions

You might want to turn off virus and internet security software while installing as some of these programs have been found to cause problems during installation.

Thanks for the suggestion. Checking some of the other posts I realised the problem was caused by Norton System Works deleting a registry key. I had to uninstall and delete some registry keys and do a clean installation. This appears to have solved the problem.

I later realised I could have saved myself a lot of time by undoing the NSW one button check up repair history.
