DVDit Pro for Vista

It's been posted on the Sonic forum area a few times that they are working on it and also some have got it to work on Vista. I was able to install it without errors but could not get parts of it to run. What others did to use it I don't know but it's been suggested not to expect much. I did not try compatibility mode but that may be an option.

In the meantime, it's a popular program and my guess is that it'll be out when it's 100% Vista ready.

Here's a search on Vista and DVDitPro

Thanks for the info. Of course as you know Vista is out and one can not get a computer without Vista so I hope they are working hard (although late) to get it out. I will not be buying it now.

Contact Roxio, were just fellow users on here.

Sorry for the multiple posts. I thought this might be a way to get a response. It appears that some from within Roxio/Sonic read these and sometimes respond. After searching all the forums that appeared to be applicable, the only posts I could find were the ones you reposted on DVDit Pro from early this year. I realize that we are all fellow users and subject to the same knowledge provided by Roxio/Sonic but no one had posted their experiences with installing DVDit Pro with Vista until now (see Beerman).

You can still get brand new systems with XP installed as well as buying XP separately. Dell, HP, Gateway and others are still offering some models with XP installed. If you want it, you have to get it by June 30, 2008 (last I read).

I don't see an answer to this question. It is now December and one would really like to know if there will be a version of DVDit Pro that installs and works with Vista. Is anyone in Roxio/Sonic working on this? Is Roxio/Sonic dropping out of this market?
