EMC 8 Installation CD was bought from Roxio's web site and installed on my Dell XPS 400 without any problems.
I've used the program very little, recorded some audio and burned a few Cd's. Occasionally when I turned off my computer I would get a blue screen message saying my computer had been shut down to prevent damage. On one occasion I got the message while working in CD Label Creator for the first time. I noticed these events seemed to occur on days that I had used EMC 8.
I checked Roxio's support site and found a patch for EMC 8. I verified my version per the instructions on the download site. (Build 805B 30B ENU)
When I install this patch I get a Windows Installer error message telling me the program may be missing or it is a different version.

Easy CD creator was installed prior to EMC 8.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
