Beerman
The first reviews are in for tonights (last night for some of you) reunion of Led Zeppelin. I've read a few reviews and they have all been positive. Here's one I've only had the luck to see them twice and once was not that good and contrary to what many say, they were not the loudest I've heard (another subject). Jimmy Page is 63! Beerman
Surprised they played Stairway to Heaven as it's never been that good for them live and to tackle that after being apart for 19 years is amazing. I'm sure they'll get the cd/dvd whatever out for sale soon and then decide if they have helium to keep the Zep floating around a while.
golinux
All these geriatric reunions are really starting to get boring. They run pretty much back-to-back when PBS has a pledge drive. It's really kinda pathetic.

Not sure how old you are but most of those who help on this board are at or near the US Senior Citizens level (well, some places that starts at 50, which is the new 40). And don't get me started how it was the musicians of the 'geriatric age' that started Rock and have kept rap from completely taking over. Anymore of this talk and I'll break my guitar over your head. I could think of a few more statements Paul, but instead just let me say "AMEN" to your post !! I don't own a guitar but would love to be able to play one Frank...(One of the "geriatric" crowd)

golinux
Not sure how old you are . . . I am an official Medicare card-carrying senior citizen (which happens at 65). And yeah, I still say those old fart reunions are kinda pathetic.

I never listen to music anymore. Been there, done that (and professionally too). A pretty pointless waste of time IMO . . .
Beerman
That is an unbiased view from a Beerman? Getting too old to partake in quantity and I've learned to settle for quality now. I never listen to music anymore. Been there, done that (and professionally too). A pretty pointless waste of time IMO . . . Music is what has gotten me through harder times all my life. I may be strange (I readily admit but read my posts and you'll agree) but I can remember dates of many of the concerts I attended even 30 years later. My first date I bored my wife with details of a Bad Company concert (wasn't too good). And, if I don't touch a guitar at least a few minutes once a day, I break out in hives (and that's not because I'm no good). I can guarantee you one thing, if you laugh each day and enjoy music each day, you will definitely be a healthier person mentally.

The first concert that I took my wife to was a Neil Diamond concert, back in early 1969, a little after we started dating. She was on the verge of fainting when he sang "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon". Music is good for the soul.

Jeez, and Jimmy ain't dead yet! That's comforting, in a way! Heard that the tickets for their concert were raffled off, and enornous amounts were paid!!
