Smartsound.dll not registered

Loneriver

Question

I just edited my first video using MyDVD and attempted to change the background audio by selecting the SmartSound button. SmartSound comes up and I can select a file and listen to it. It appears to be accepted into my project. However, when I hit the preview button for my project I get the error message:

Smartsound.dll not registered

I hit OK and the program just freezes. Any thoughts on getting SmartSound to work? Thanks.

Windows repair but this time make sure your hard drive is clean and defraged and then turn off you anti-virus. My guess is that it prevented that from being put into the registry properly.

If the repair doesn't work, you may have to uninstall and then reinstall.

If it is really screwed up, you may have to do a clean uninstall and start again.

Update:

I contacted SmartSound and they have a newer update. I uninstalled SmartSound and re-installed it using the new version. It worked except for the fact that the free sample sounds that the EMC10 version gave did not appear in the SmartSound update. I e-mailed their customer service and they gave me a link to another update (password protected which they gave me access to only until midnight for some reason). This update contained only the library of free songs. Everything works now.
