Check for updates

57eve

Question

I bought, installed and registered this software.

I clicked on "Check for updates" and following error message appeared.

"The software manager does not recognize this product. Error 13003: version not registered with the flexnet connect"

I uninstalled, re installed it and re registered it and i still get this error.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem! I spent over an hour trying to figure out what was wrong. I finally found this forum, so a big "Thank You" to that nice answer. I still have a problem in that I was clicking to get more menu selections to choose from. There is a link right there that says "more menu styles" and when I go to it I get to the download updates page. That's where I wasted so much time. Ugh. Again, thanks for clearing it up. I wish there were more styles to choose from.

57eve,

When you click on "check for updates" the update manager takes you to the Flexnet Connect updates service, an an outsourced updates management service that Roxio uses. When your software sends its ID and version # to Flexnet Connect, the service sends back any updates.

Since there are no updates for this software and it seems there never will be, Roxio has not registered the software with Flexnet, so rather than a nice "No updates for you" message, you get that error message.

Don't worry about the error message, but don't bother looking for updates, either.

Brendon

Thanks Brendon

Very helpful answer.
