enhance CDs/multimedia disk whatever

need to combine .wav audio - and exe autorun files to build a an interactive cd

i been told that on v. 9 u have the option under data disk - enhanced disk and you just drag your stuff there the program will do its job to give you a disk that plays in computer and set top audio player.

 

how do you do this on v.10

 

i tried the multimedia disk option however it does not accept any files other than the regualr pic and video and audio files

 

i NEED to have the exe file that is an interactive file to be added to the project as well as the audio so that people can use the file in their computer and play the exe game

and put in their car and listen to the music.

I completely agree. I had to do some searching to find this same limitation. Whoever designed that did not have a brain. I write software for a living and one of the golden rules is do not take functionality away from the user.

 

If anyone figures out how to do this with v10 or an update is made, I would love to know about it.

 

I guess now it is on to finding another program that is not so "STUPID".

You are describing an Enhanced Disc. A Multimedia disc is completely different.

 

In V9 both were located under Creator Classic, you pick the one you want, CD Extra Disc Creator (Enhanced) in this case, and it opens another project window.

 

But there will be NO Autorun file on the disc.

I am looking to do the same thing ... this is almost unbelievable that these folks sell this stuff ... and it does not have such a basic function ... I have used software from years ago to do my enchanced CD projects... now this new high priced program is lacking so ... what I have done in the past is burn a regular audio CD ... burn the wav files FIRST ... you have to do this ... then had the date files ... in Nero for instance it will tell you that you are making a CD with data ... then add the data in an open directory with the autorun file included ... and it works ... usually ...

 

any one having any further suggestions would be appreciated ... thank you ...

I might not be sure of what you are trying to do, but why can't you (in EMC 9 or 10) just use "Creator Classic" as a data disc CD and add your wav files and add the exe file also. Then when anyone wants to listen to the wav files on their computer they can just slip the CD in the drive and play the wav file in WMP and if they want to use the exe game file just clcik on it and run it ?

 

If I am off track, please explain a little more.

I hope you have a copy of EMC 9 hanging around. I searched but could not find it in EMC 10. You can make a multimedia disc but you cannot put data files on it. I may be missing something but I don't think so.

 

I also googled for it but found no products that would do this. You migh be able to pick up a version of EMC 9 cheaply. Make sure it is the full version (deluxe preferred) and you'll get a capture device and some worthwhile add ons (Sound Soap).

I looked at the help for the program, and the individual help files, just in case, and could not find anything. Of course it could be just in front of my face. These eyes are getting old.

got in touch with customer care.

its moved to music disc creator and only allows you to bring in folders not individual files. STUPID STUPID STUPID

who down grades a program when a new version is made??>>???????????
