VideoWave - jumpy/choppy video in Video Trimmer

VideoNoob

Question

I have tried most features for EMC 10 and the main reason I purchased it was to trim and edit video footage from my Sony Handy Cam. The video files I believe are in PAL format because the video camera is from the UK.

I have compiled a DVD, burned it and it played back fine. In the VideoWave window, I can add movies and play them in the preview screen but I cannot edit movies in the VideoTrimmer. If I add a movie and double click it, it opens up to a separate Video Trimmer window for editing and if I try to play it back the video is all choppy. The sound seems to be working fine but the video is so choppy that I cannot even begin to edit the movie. I have tried other video programs but some have the same problem, some don't.

I have all the updated codex for Vista. Anyone who can help would be appreciated.

Check out the videos from Tips and Tricks in the EMC 9 forums. It works the same way in EMC 10.
