Streaming images on action

Question

We just purchased Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 to capture mini-dv from our Sony camcorder to create DVD's of our children's sporting events. My husband used it for the first time this week. He connected the camcorder to the computer via the fireware cable and did the video capture. He then burned a DVD. The DVD looks great when played on the computer. However, when we play it on the DVD player attached to our TV we see streaming images. For example, when the basketball is passed, you see a basketball image trail as it moves across the screen.

What would cause this and what can we do to prevent it from happening?

Try using software rendering, when burning from MyDVD. In MyDVD, go to Tools/Options, and click in the circle to the left of Software.

BTW, did you capture as .avi files? If not, you should.
