DVD Playback plays 2 movies - then back to menu

2Scotts

Question

Hi, Well I finally I have my cruise video complete and it contains 8 movies (mpeg) which I created with EMC10 VideoWave. Yeah!...

However, I am having an issue with playback.

I have 8 movies, so I made two menu screens, each with 4 movie menu buttons.

When I play starting from the first movie, it plays the first two movies, then goes back to the main menu.

When I start playing at the menu button for movie 2, it plays 2 and 3 and then goes back to the main menu, and so on...

I have double checked and all movies point to the next movies to be played.

Is there something I am missing here?

How do I get the movies to play continuously to the end of the DVD when started at any point, like a regular DVD movie that you purchase in a store does?

Also, my 2nd menu screen the background music will not play. It is setup and play on the computer, but not on the burned DVD. Any ideas on this?

Hi All - Well I figured out the music issue. I had to go to the timeline for each menu and add the soundtrack there. Now that works.

However, I am still having issues with the movies not playing in order.

Has nobody else had this problem?

I have found two distinct locations where to set the action for what to do after the movie plays, and I have set both of them.

Now when I burn to a DVD Folder on my hard disk to check the results, and I play with CinePlayer or another application (PowerDVD player), I am still having issues.

If I start at movie one, it plays and starts movie two. At the end of movie two it goes back to main menu. My last attempt now has movie two starting over again - in a loop. So I know I am making an impact - just not a good one :-)

If I start playing at movie two - it plays and then plays movie three like it is supposed to.

What is going on here?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated....

Under File/Project Settings, do you have it set to Play Movie and All Remaining Movies in Project?

And, in the bolded sentence, above, what did you set it to?

I am going to try and see if I can duplicate your problem.

What menu style are you using? Exactly how are you adding the movies (Titles) to each menu?

Are you using 4 titles per menu page? Are you using the Software or Hardware render mode?
