Can Roxio BD-RE BDMV discs play in Sony Vaio?

Tip McPartland

Question

Anybody have any luck playing Roxio BD-RE BDMV discs in a Sony Vaio laptop with a skinny little burner/player? Tried one I made with Roxio and the player completely ignored it, no error message and no play. Plays commercial discs beautifully on the 1920x1200 screen.

The Laptop comes with some kind of Roxio authoring or burning software. haven't tried it yet.

One more question, can I activate a second installation of DVD It Pro HD on the laptop now?

I recently finished a project on my new Vaio with blu-ray burner while my primary editing system was busy and had no problems. I have been creating blu-ray discs for over a year now. I edit in Premiere (until Avid comes out with support for Vista) and I author in DVDit Pro HD. I have been using TDK and Sony BD-R and BD-RE discs successfully. I have had NO coasters. These discs also play in most any blu-ray player I've tried them in. I have the Samsung and Sony models.
