Scene Dection and select all

Jones

Question

I had to set the scene detection in a highly sensitive mode in order to delete some people out of a video. In doing so, it detected several hundred scenes. I was able to delete the people I needed deleting but how do I "select all" to put them in the storyline production window or do I have to do each one manually? I have tried "select all items" above the scenes window but everything that suggests it may add them to the production is grayed out. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your time.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong.

I think you're going to have to drag those scenes down one by one.

HOWEVER, a quicker way might be to drag the entire video onto the storyline, switch to the TIMELINE View and 'split' the video into scenes manually.

Then delete the scenes with the people.

The scene detection method you used to "find" the people you want deleted does not necessarily remove all scenes with those people in them. The manual method recommended by ml is a better way to do what you want although it may seem to be a lot more work
