I can burn a disc, but it will not play properly

AfterTheCalm

Question

I have managed to get the proper update (3.0.2) installed, and I can pull up a video from EyeTv into the Popcorn 3 drag and drop window. When I insert a blank DVD+R , I hit the big red button, and off it goes.. burning my file to disc. When it is complete, it says that file is complete, and I eject the disc.

The problem is, that it will not play properly on either of my 2 dvd stand alone players. I can see on the display, that it goes from chapter to chapter, 1 chapter per second until all 10 chapters have been cycled through. It's a 45 min video, and yet while it does play the first 10 seconds of the first chapter, I can see the other 9 chapters zinging through, then I get to enjoy the first 10 secs again while it loops through over and over.

What gives?

Others are reporting skipping when playing DVDs created from EyeTV recordings, particularly recordings from analog input to the EyeTV Hybrid.

In EyeTV try exporting the video as an MPEG file and open that file in MPEG Streamclip and choose Fix Timecode breaks from the Edit menu. Then choose Convert to MPEG which saves the repaired file. Add that to Popcorn and see if this fixes the issue.
