RecordNow 7.3LE updating

Question

I have a dell dimention 8400 and got the cd with the pc from new. It has Never updated and i wonder why. Can anyone please advise as it always says "the program was unable to connect to the update server".

I dont have any problems with any other programs on my pc so i assume it is the "recordNow".

I have looked through the forum but cannot find a remedy.

LE versions are 'Lite' (usually cut down OEM versions) and updates, if they are available at all, will come from the supplier.

 

The updater in the program is probably trying to connect to the Roxio update service, but it's not being recognised (due to OEM versions having different build numbers)
