Can not burn AVI file with Xvid Code

lovely_bala

Question

I have RoxioCreator D Version: 9.0.117 on my Dell with Windows XP. When I add .avi files ( with Xvid codec) to burn, it gives me the error "the files you are use cannot be edited, and has not been added".

I have correct codec installed and can play the file in Windows Media Player. I have tried remove and re install the Roxio software but no use.

What could be the issue. I appreciate your help.

You have the OEM version of Roxio and it will NOT work on divx/xvid files. You'll need to upgrade to the retail version to work with these files.

Thanx for your help.

Are you saying RoxioCreator CE Version: 9.0.117 is a OEM version ?? But I could add Mpeg files. In a different thread on a similar topic, somebody suggesting to add EMC 9 file "DivXDec.ax" to the roxio directory. But I could not find this file anywhere in my system
