Easy Media Creator Suite & Deluxe 10.0.1 Update Files Are Both The Same

S_t_e_v_e

Question

Easy Media Creator Suite & Deluxe 10.0.1 update files are both the same on Roxio's software update download web page.

Did someone at Roxio accidentally make a mistake in labeling each file or are they in fact both the same file?

Please respond as soon as possible as I want to avoid installing the wrong one. I need Easy Media Creator Suite 10.0.1 not the DELUXE version. Thank you. <_<

I see three different download options with three different files on the v10 updates page. You would select the one in the middle

[ RoxioEMCSuitev10_4737GA50R05.exe (Creator 10 Suite) (719 mb) - Download ]

Yes, but if you actually select the file and begin the download process you will notice that the actual file you will be downloading is labeled: RoxioEMCDLXSuite10_4737GA51R05.exe. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the DLX shown within the download file name indicate the DELUXE version? I noticed that this same DLX is also a part of the DELUXE download version.

If you meant to put the DLX letters in both version file names for a specific reason, please explain. It just seems confusing to me.

First, you are posting to a users forums, and none of us work for Roxio, so no one here put anything, anywhere.

Now, I checked the update downloads, and they are definitely different, as per the screenshots below:

No. You're not getting what I'm saying.

You must actually click on the download link and actually start downloading the file. Then, notice how the file is labeled as you are downloading it. Then you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'll give it a shot, in a minute. Did you let it complete the download?

You are correct. It downloads the Deluxe version. I hope that someone, from Roxio, stops in here and reads this thread.
