No video playback in VideoWave

Albert71292

Question

I have a problem hopefully someone can help me solve. I have EMC Suite10 installed on my HP Pavillion with Windows Vista Home Premium, 1GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 6150LE. Problem I'm having is in VideoWave. When I import a video to edit, all I get on playback is a green screen, but audio will play. I get no video. Needless to say, impossible to edit anything like that!

I've tried installing/uninstalling various codec packs, uninstalling/reinstalling EMC, downloading updates for the video card, still get the same result. Can anyone offer any other tips or advice to help me get the thing working properly? I've hit a "dead end" on ideas, so to speak. Thanks for any suggestions in advance!

Searched the forums to no avail.

When you installed the new video drivers did you follow the instructions to remove the old ones before putting in the new ones? Did you install the Vista drivers? 163.75

Open NVidia control console and make sure that all the 3D functions are set to application controlled. You may want to try also using the "best" or "performance" setting for the card rather than best appearance.

Thanks for that! Set the 3D controls to "Performance", now it's working like a charm! :-)
