First, reboot your computer. Then make a temporary folder on your computer. Then, RIGHT click on the Content file, and select Extract, browse for the folder you just made, then extract the files to that folder. In that folder, click on the setup exe file.

You will need WinZip or WinRAR to extract the files.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Oh, and thanks for your service to our country.

I looked at it, and it is a .exe file, not a .zip.

Hello Ollie,

If you edit your post and add "e]" to that [/quot it will display nicely :)

WinZip and WinRar will handle 'compressed executables' happily. They don't have to have the ZIP or RAR file extension. Once you install one or the other you should get the ability to right-click and Extract the content files.

Purchased online download of EMC 10 Suite. Download page shows 2 "BIG" downloads anyone know which to download and differences between the 2?

One is the Program file, and the other if the Content file. They should both be over 700MB, and you need to download both of them.

Once you get them downloaded, burn them to a DVD, right away, so you will have them in the future, if needed.

I cannot get the second file to install - the content file. It says: <_<

"There is not enough space on drive C:\ to extract the package."

I have 151 gigabytes free on my C:\ drive.

Hi

Presummably they are installed in that order: Program first, Contents second?

RoxioEMCSuitev10_4737GA50R05 is 736,792kB

RoxioContentCDv10_SQA is 756,517kB

Downloading was problemmatical. Had to disable screensaver, security and all disk maintenance and download management software. Any of these would interrupt the download which took between 1hr40 and 1hr50, each module, at DSL speeds (~100kB/s).

REGARDS

Phil

Yes, on the order of install. You are lucky that you can download them so fast. I have low end broadband, with no chance to upgrade to faster service. I live out in the country, and I am lucky to have what I have. :)
