Editig wav files

Pat in ABQ

Question

I bought Creator Premier 9 with my new HP PC. I assumed it would be similar to Easy CD Creator 5 that I had on my old PC and that I really liked. But I cannot figure out how to edit .wav files (cut & paste) in Creator 9. I see references to "Video Wave", but this does not appear to be in my 9.

1. Is it possible to edit .wav files with my Creator Premier 9?

2. Or do I need to upgrade to something else?

3. If I have been relatively happy with Creator 5, maybe I should install it (if so, should I uninstall Creator 9 first so there would be no conflicts)?

There is no comparison between V5 & V9, either in how they work or capabilities…

Maybe you should start with the Home application and look at all of the choices under Audio. Something should ring the bell…

Creator 9 Premier or My DVD Studio Premier?

If you bought the later, then you do not have the audio applications. See this chart (link).

If it is Creator 9 Premier, then it is a lite version of something but I doubt if many people would know what is in that product. Look for the application as mentioned above.

There is no sound editor listed under audio. Here's the issue - I paid HP $70 for this "top of the line upgrade" when I bought my new PC a month ago. And this Creator Premier, v.9 doesn't do wav editing. So, what to do? Although it tees me off that I already paid out the dough, would buying Creator 10 solve this problem? Or what?

Go back to Dell and ask for your money back since you want to do audio editing. They should either give you your money back or offer to give you the right product. Don't take no for an answer !

At $70, they charged you a high price. With the Christmas sales on the Roxio site, you can get EMC 10 with all the bells and whistles for that much or less.
