WMC ad Roxio 10

fredl11

Question

Recently did the upgrade to Roxio 10 and things were ok untill today. Have tried numerous times to burn a DVD through Windows Media Center Recorded TV. Process gets to 3% and the drive opens and program says there was a problem with the burn.

I went to the Roxio Support page and did the firmware update. Hp SP35094.exe. Did a reboot and still the same problem. I then went to device manager and uninstalled the TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H653L [CD-ROM drive] and rebooted. Upon reboot the Computer re-installed the drive. Still cannot burn a DVD. Have tried 3 new Memorex DVD+rw and Hp Lightscribe DVD's. Still no luck burning.

Any information will be appreciated

Some info on it (and reported burn problems) here

http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters/samsun...l-ts-h653l/1856

Got some new informtion today.

I spoke to HP Support and they indicated that there is a problen, lately, using WMC to burn a dvd and they are waiting for Microsoft to come up with a patch.

In the meantime they suggest using Roxio MyDVD to burn. I did as they indicated using MYDVDExpress and the burn went fine.

Now I did notice that on my wife's PC running Vista and Roxio 9 there is no problem burning via WMC, The problem I am having is on my PC running Vista and Roxio 10, but even that was fine for 3-4 weeks. The problem only started yesterday. Must be computer gremlins.
