menu icon

Question

I'm burning several different slide shows and I don't understand why in most of them the ICON on the Main menu doesn't show the icon that I choose. It will after a few minutes but then goes away again.

Is there some secret I'm missing here. One that I did shows the ICON all the time without a problem but I don't know what causes the ones with problems. It doesn't seem to be related to the MENU music.

Any suggestions???

THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME. I PRINTED OUT YOUR MESSAGE AND WILL TRY THAT.

I'M TALKING ABOUT WHEN I'M FINISHED IN VIDEO WAVE AND MOVE TO DVD TO BURN, THEN I'M ON THE MENU PAGE AND I LIKE TO HAVE AN ICON WHERE IT SAYS - PRODUCTION. I CHOOSE A THUMBNAIL IN THAT ICON BOX. ON THE CHANGE ICON PAGE, I FOUND 5 THAT WILL HOLD THE OTHERS HAVE A LITTLE BOX AND ARE JUST A PLAIN COLOR PANEL. I'M GOING TO TRY ALL OF YOUR STEPS. I FIND IT STRANGE THAT 5 BOXES WILL HOLD THE ICON THUMBNAIL BUT THE OTHERS DON'T. I LIKE THE PICTURE TO SHOW IN THE ICON.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP AND I WILL TRY EACH STEP YOU SENT ME. I'VE BURNED SEVERAL DVD'S NOW AND LIKE ROXIO. I WAS USING NERO BUT ROXIO 10 HAS A LOT MORE TO OFFER AND IS VERY COMPATIBLE WITH VISTA.

Why are you yelling? All caps is hard to read unless a person has a visual problem.

I still don't understand. You are adding more than five movies to a page that is designed to hold five? Be careful, it is real easy to screw up the navigation. I hope that something I suggested will work for you.

Yes, there is level upon level in the program; i.e., some of the really nice things are "hidden". That a good reason to frequent these forums.

Probably no response because we don't know what icon you are talking about? Are you saying that you chose an image for the thumbnail and that changes?

Note, if your screen resolution is high enough and your monitor is large enough, I suggest that to first select show settings from the top menu and then go back and select dock settings. The setting will be put to the right of your diaplay and you'll have almost instant access to many settings for the menu.

You can select any image you like to fit into the thumbnail or simply turn off motion thumbnail. Click on the thumbnail and select settings. You should be presented with these options. Chose the one you want.
