I followed the instructions in the article posted by John from ROXIO that copies NTLDR and NTDETECT.EXE and the entries for the BoOT.INI. But I still had the same problem. The Microsoft Knowledge Data Base has an append that says to restore the same files that John states in his article. But instead of creating a boot.ini file, MSFT says to use the BOOTCFG utility from the MSFT Operating I stall CD to rebuild the boot.ini file. After I rebuilt the boot.ini from the bootcfg utility, my problem was solved.
The question is ... why did the EMC 10 install wipe out the NT* and boot.ini files?
