changing the language

Question

Hi

Can somebody help?

I bought my laptop in Japan as this is where I am living at the moment. Roxio creator was included in the Dell package, all installed etc. However as the original set up of all programs in the computer was Japanese, Roxio is in Japanese. I changed the rest of my computer settings to English but the programs it came with for example Microsoft Office etc are all in Japanese. I cannot read Japanese.

Could someone tell me which menu to use in Roxio for example go to Tools the click on the third option down then etc. or cut and paste an english print screen image of where to go, to change the language to english. If indeed this can be done in Roxio creator version10??

I hope this makes a little bit of sense...

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re-install the program and you should have a choice of languages when the re-install starts.

Tilly,

When EMC is installed in a language other than English, the foreign language is provided in most screens by .LOC files. When EMC runs, if there is a .LOC file in a folder, EMC will load and display it.

Steve's recommendation to reinstall EMC 10 is a good one, but it would be very helpful if you would first search for and rename or delete all *.LOC files you can find in Roxio folders or branches of the directory tree.

Both methods remove the .LOC files from the field of play, but if you rename them then you can always reverse the process by naming the files back to their original names. It's a bit less 'final' than deleting the .LOC files.

So if you remove the .LOC files and then reinstall, you should have EMC 10 in English.

Regards,

Brendon
