gi7omy Posted December 22, 2007 Report Share Posted December 22, 2007 If he's installing from a dvd Frank - it's the retail version Seriously, it's possible you have a problem with the disc itself - first of all, check for fingerprints, etc on the surface (wouldn't be the first time one of my grandkids got their grubby little jam-soaked paws on a disc) If it's not that - try copying the contents to a temp folder on the hard drive and run setup.exe from there - if it fails to copy, then you have a faulty disc and I would advise hot-footing it back to where you got it, beat the assistant round the ears with it and say 'Sir - you sold me duff goods - prithee replace it' Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
