I have learned one thing and that is I have alot more to learn. I am totally new to this. Does anyone know if they make a CD Burning for dummies type of thing, either a book or web site etc..... and investigate further for different types of burners etc. I am now totally confused, I thought Easy CD & DVD 6 was a cd burner. Yet ppl are talking about NEC??????????? I have Media Player 10 so thought all I needed was a burner? Any ideas, I'd LOVE to hear them ! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A "burner" usually refers to a piece of hardware capable of creating "burning" CDs (or in the case of a DVD burner, DVDs). Roxio makes software. Software is what tells the computer how to use the burner to burn the discs. WinPlayer 10 is capable of burning music CDs (and WinXP is capable of burning data CDs), provided you have a drive that is capable of doing the actual burning. However, no matter what program you have capable of burning CDs (or DVDs), without the appropriate hardware it won't work. Just like no matter what kind of fancy graphics processing program you have, unless you have a printer, it can't print. And if you have a VERY basic printer (say, dot-matrix), the graphics won't print, altho it may be able to handle text. Lynn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Have you tried doing a google search on "cd burning", its a good place to start.
