CD's Remain Blank after Burn

lovekills_s

Question

Hi Guys..

I am in deep trouble, Bought a HP Pavillion DV6226tx notebook. The CD/DVD burner was working perfectly fine a few weeks ago. Lately, All it does is, Shows the process of burn, and ejects the CD when completed.

However, The CD that pops out remains Blank. On Trying to read the Disc the Autoplay options show the disc is blank.

On trying, yet again, to burn it, the process occurs again, this time, the CD goes Bad and is not any more writeable. It goes waste.

The same has been happening with In Built Roxio Software, Nero, and Windows Native Burning (Media player as well)

What cud be the problem. Generally I have tried Audio CD's and data discs only, and problem occurs with both.

Please help..

Thanks in anticipation..

This could be the culprit? I have this KB update on my system. Uninstalling the same in a while..

Cud this one help? Worth a try?

Getting a new burner aint a big deal, notebook is under warranty, so no hassles for that..

Let me know ur thoughts ..
