No CD Text Info. Using Music Disc Creator

klink1948

Question

When I burn a disc using MDC, I do not get any CD text info when I try to print a label. If I use Easy Audio CD the info is there.

I followed these instructions exactly:

http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?...st&p=157778

Using EA CD the track data also shows up in Yahoo Player, WMP10 with the plugin, Winamp and Nero. Using MDC no track info shows up in any of the players or Nero or any Roxio programs.

I did the Clean Install routine suggested here and that did not help.

No, those utilities are not included in EMC 10 - I don't care what the Sales Dept says, I have it installed in both XP and Vista, and they ain't there!! (I shouldn't really say I don't care, I actually have a number of issues with what the sales people have said compared to what the software really contains)

So I don't think their absence has anything to do with your current problem.

You could try that clean uninstall and reinstall, but that seems like a lot of work if using Easy Audio CD is a convenient workaround.

Brendon

I just burned a disc using MDC, and following Gary's instructions in post 157778.

It worked fine, and I confirmed with the HACP player that the name of the disc and name of the artist that I had typed into MDC had actually been written onto the CD as CD-Text. I got the text off the disc into the express labeller using the "auto-fill from disc" button. I got the same result using the Roxio Label Creator.

I'll admit to having no imagination :) "name of the disc" and "name of the artist" where what I typed in to MDC and the track name was from the MP3 file, but both the instructions and MDC worked properly for me as you can see.

Are you sure you checked the "Add CD text" box in AudioCD Project Settings?

Brendon

Yes, I am positive I checked the "Add CD text" box. As I said, I followed his instructions exactly. I have another problem that may be related:

If I am missing those Utilities, maybe something is missing in MDC.
