RoxioContentCDv10_SQA.exe?

Bruce R

Question

I bought the download version today and there were two huge files; one of course was the install file itself. This other one is something to do with content apparently. Do I need to install this file or do I just leave the compressed file on my hard drive or have it available on a DVD if needed?

The program already takes up a lot of space on the hard drive, so I didn't figure I'd load it unless there was a need.

While you don't need the content file, it can be useful for many of the programs such as themes for MyDVD, transitions and effects for Videowave and templates for Photosuite and the like. If you don't plan on installing the content, save the file to a disc for future needed use. My suggestion would be to install the content and then save it in case you need to reinstall later.

If you are worried about the contents taking up some hard drive space then its definitely time to get a larger drive. Video work will require lots and lots of drive space!

I went ahead and installed the content. I just needed someone to suggest that I do it, since I didn't see any instructions on the download. I even had to figure out which one to install first.... inadvertently attempted to install the content folder first until I got the message at the end of the extraction of the files process.

What a day between that and trying to get a new video driver update after a blue screen (stop screen error) and then the system having to "recover from a serioius error".

I thank for now I'm on the road to learning what I can do in addition to what I could do with EMC 7.
