DVD Burning error

MAC9

Question

I am a new user to Roxio EMC v10 having purchased it yesterday.

I tried to burn a home movie using MyDVD last night without success.

It took 10 hours to burn a 3.8gb, 51 min DVD and the DVD has no picture when played on either DVD player or computer. The menu screen works fine, but when a chapter is selected the picture is a blank white screen, while the sound is fine.

My settings were: 4:3, PAL, HQ, 720 x 576, Interlaced, MPEG, 384 Kb/s.

What am I doing wrong?

First of all, forget the size in bytes of the original source, it's dependant on time

Basically, one hour of video = 1 DVD - there are ways to stretch that, but quality falls off proportionally

You didn't post your specs here - what are they? (basically, CPU, RAM and graphics)
