Toast 8.03 on Tiger: Problems when writing image files

willips

Question

I have just upgraded to Toast 8.03, and now I experience the following problem when trying to compress a fil that I have imported from Eye tv and want to burn on DVD.

Toast starts to multiplex but simply stops when it (according to the dialog box) has multiplexed 100%. The dialog box doesnt disappear no matter how long I wait.

If I force-quit Toast, I cannot open the file Toast has burned.

I am using an iMac G5 with Tiger (10.4.11)

Any idea what can be wrong?

Kind regards

That's the point where Toast is supposed to access the optical drive to start writing. Try choosing Save as disc image from the File menu instead of clicking the burn button. Does it still stall at the end of multiplexing? If not you can burn the disc image to DVD using the Image File setting in the Copy window.
