putting multiple movies on dvd

richardsonj3

Question

ok so i've spent the last couple of days trying to figure out my new software. i am using the easy cd and dvd (red box) version 9. i have also looked at several of different topics trying to figure out the many problems that have come up. right now i can't find anything to help me with my latest. and have wasted a lot of dvds trying to figure it out on my own.

so far i have been burning home movies onto dvds by first converting them into dvd formats using a format converter system. once in that format i use the data disc to burn the now audio and video_ts files as data. this has been successful and has worked in my dvd player. however i am now trying to more than one movie onto a single dvd disc because i am continually left with a lot of space on the disc after just one is added. i would like to save time and money by learning how to put at least two or three of the movies i have made onto one disc.

i also tried to figure out how to use the mydvd express to get this done but it would not let me add any of my movies even after i have changed the format

is there anyone that can help me? it would be greatly appreciated!

i thought it would work but when i try to add anything in the mydvd section it says that "the files can not be edited, and were not added" and if it doesnt say that it won't let me add it at all and has a slash through them.

i realize that its not top of the line software but is there any way i can make an actual disc with multiple movies?

Yes it will do that, as I explained. However you have some non-standard formats and no software will be able to deal with that!

Do as Daithi suggested then we will know where we stand and where we need to go.

so i ran all my movies using the gspot program suggested and all of them said that the codec was installed. so i guess i that might not be the problem and i have all the codecs i need to view them. i am just not able to make them work in the mydvd section or put them on one disc in the data disc section.

any other suggestion i can try? thanks for the help so far.

MyDVD accepts nearly all video formats with mpeg2 and DV AVI being the most common.

Each time you Add Title and select a single clip, your clip is added with its' own Menu Button.

If you select multiple clips they are added together under one Menu Button.

The Red Box version is a very cut down version of the Suite so there isn't much you can do with it…
