Loading virtual image

kush

Question

Hello,

I've searched through some discussions and could not find my "problem." I just upgraded to emc 10 from emc 9 and everything is fine except for .iso image loading into virtual drives. I used to be able to right click on a .iso image anywhere on my hard drive (regardless of whether emc 9 was running) and there was an option to load the image into one of the virtual drives I had made. Now, after I installed emc 10, .iso files on my computer show up as an unknown file type. I know I can load them through emc 10 manually, but is there a way to restore my previous method of loading images into virtual drives that I used before? Help!

I am running XP SP2, HPdv9000 laptop, nVidia geforce go 7600. Just updated my drivers also.

Thanks!

Have you set up a virtual drive on your computer?

While not an answer to your problem, if all you want is to view ISO files quickly, download the VLC Player

It's small and will play just about anything you throw at it. Open it up and you can drag and drop you ISO right on top of it and it'll start playing.

I made two virtual drives actually, and I already have VLC. So, yes, I can just use VLC to play ISO movies, I just preferred to use my other media player since it integrated with my home theater system flawlessly and allowed me to control playback from remote. It's not a huge deal I guess, I was just hoping there was a way to use it again, quickly and easily like before!
