HD video

Phil P

Question

I captured HDV video from my canon HV20 camcorder. Is it possible for me to edit this video, add some menus and chapters, then burn it in mpeg-2 format to a dvd-r disc or multiple dvd-r discs maintaining the high definition content? If so, what do I do?

Simply, No. There are no standards for burning HD to regular DVDs. What would you play it on? However, Sonic's DVDit Pro HD does support burning to DVDR BUT you have to play those disc back on a Blueray player.

MyDVD 10 supports BDAV, but you need a Blueray burner and player to play them back.

As an alternative IF You have a DVD player that supports HD WMV or DIVX HD, Videowave does support output to those formats, but I have no idea how those players work. I wouldn't think the output would be HD.
