Track titles not written to target disks

U-Turn

Question

When I am burning tracks to disk , the titles are not transfered. It is labeling them 01,02,03, ect.... This happens in Audio CD, and Music Disk Creator. In both I went to project settings and made sure that "Add CD Text" box was checked. what do I try next. :(

Happy New Year Too All :D:D:D

All the disks I have burned using EZ CD 6, when I use win media player 11, their tracks show up with no prob. I have just started with EZ CD 10 ( I up graded to explorer 7, stopped using EZ CD 6 because of the conflict). It's like the tracks are not written to disk. In my sys tray I'm running AVG Free 7.5, Sygate Fire wall, Sound Max Control Panel, Intel net Card, And ELLA an Outlook Express Anti-Spam prog. Could any of these be in conflict with EZ CD 10 ?? I tried the Win Media Snap on and no joy. Also it appears that the sound , Maximize Volume box is also checked, is all over the map, Good difference in Vol between tracks. Should I consider uninstalling then reinstalling EZ CD 10???

Thank for the help, I need to get this running or my Dad will never let me hear the end of it.

I just updated the firm ware on my Lite-On, Burned a disk from the Hard drive, opened Win Player 11 and all the tracks were listed. Will try a couple more to make sure it is working. I would still like to hear from anyone, (everyone??) tro see if this has occured before.

Thanks for the help

Happy New Year :D

It depends what you're using to view the CD you've made. Not many players actually handle CD-Text, which is IMHO a great pity. Even Windows Media Player won't read it.

If you have written the CD with a Roxio program, in DAO mode, with a writer which can handle CD-Text, and CD-Text turned on [in the earlier versions] then the text will have been written to the CD. To view it you need a player which handles CD-Text.

A handy, small, FREE player which will display CD-Text is the HACP player. You can find it all over the 'net, but here's a handy download link click here.

Alternatively, Terry (tbrewst) found a neat plug-in for Windows Media Player 10 and 11 which will show CD-Text. It's downloadable (free) here.

Hope this helps.

I'm glad you got it working Jim.

As to Media Player reading your text - are you sure it's your CD-Text it's reading, and not just something that Media Player has got off the 'net when it checked your CD with Gracenote or the CDDB ??
