I recently purchased EMC9-Deluxe w/ the Dazzle DVC90. My camcorder is a SamsungSCX915 8mm (at least 11 yrs old but works great).
Had TONS of problems getting the DVC90 recognized and working! EMC still shuts down sometimes when I choose the DVC90 as the device to receive video through. When I don't get the error I get to the video import and the preview window shows exactly what I see inside my camcorder's view finder "Stop <time>".
Then I click "Capture Now", EMC shows receipt of a signal and in my view finder I see the video playing but there is nothing happening on the preview window. If I stop the camcorder from playing then the screen both in the view finder and EMC's preview pane goes back to "Stop <time>" and both are in sync. No video though is captured.
After reading a number of the posts I tried capturing the video using Windows Movie Maker with the exact same issue there.
