Edit movies and chapter points

When I try to edit a movie I sometimes get in and sometimes I get one of several problems. The main screen in the edit movie mode is black and blank. This may be after a screen saying

 

".\DSMenuEditCtrl.cpp(1185):***Error NULL =pComp.p"

 

OR

 

.\DSProductionUtils.cpp(192):***Error 80040207=spGM->Preview()

 

I'm trying to create chapter points in the timeline view. Even when I do. then I can't save it .

Please help.

 

Also, sometimes when I do manage to more or less get chapter points, the miniscreens in "Edit chapter points" are solid blue and not small images. The disc, when it is burned at all, may have blank areas where you can hear the music but the screen stays dark,

What video card do you have? Sounds like a video driver issue. Videowave and MyDVD 10 are much more demanding on the video subsystem than most other applications.

 

make sure you have updated video drivers and the latest update to DirectX. Window's Update does NOT update DirectX.
