import window doesn't display

EMC10 was working fine, then all of a sudden, when I try to launch the import, the small splash screen that says opening component displays for a sec or two, then goes away but the import window never opens.

 

I completely uninstalled EMC10 & content etc then reinstalled it all but the same thing still happens.

 

Any idea what I do to try to figure out why the main window for the import never opens? Other windows like MyDVD open fine.

been working with roxio support, turns out its something with my XP user account. They had me create a new user account and media inport launches fine from there. No determination yet whats wrong with the other user account.
