Can't create new cd on Sonic Record Now 7.0

Fuzzyfrog

Question

I don't know all the info I should be describing. I have a Toshisa Satellite laptop A105. It has XP and WMP 11 and Sonic Record Now! 7.0. I didn't even know it had Record now until I recently tried to install CD creator 6. My brother-in-law sent me a copy because he thinks that is the best cd copying program. WEll, my computer would not play CD Creator 6. It said I had no default recorder. AFter uninstalling Sonic 7 several times, and reinstalling CD Creator 6, it still wouldn't work. It seems my driver devices still are Sonic 8.0 and won't accept older Roxio program. So I put Sonic Record Now, Sonic DLA and Sonic Encoders back on, but when I try to make a data disc, I get an error message that I should install "an appendable disc." I have been able to record using Windows cd copier using same R- cd discs so I know it is not a disc problem. Is there anyway to get my Sonic Record Now! working? Thanks for any ideas.
