MPEG-2 Files will not play in Cineplayer

Anyone experience there computer crashing when opening a Mpeg2 file in Cineplayer. I got the blue screen of death. Any suggestions. Is a Codec problem or a patch needed from Roxio or it could be my video card. Not sure? I bought a Sony Handycam harddrive camcorder which outputs MPEG2 files and want to use them in Roxio. What are your computer specs (including the graphics) and do the files play in Media Player?

Yes. The files do play in Media Player 11 once I installed the Codecs. There is a patch that Roxio sent, but I have not installed it. This is not a specific patch for my exact problem but a patch for Cineplayer. Whether or not it helps. I will have to give it try to see what happens.
