cd playback issue

IamBlackHawk

Question

I use Creator Basic V9 and Vista Home Premium to create cd's from other CD's or MP3 files and the CD takes a long time to start on my Toyota 2002 Tundra original stereo. The CD usually will not start the 1st time I put it in and everytime I turn the truck off I have to start the CD again because the stereo will eject it when I put the key into the ignition. The media is Maxell CD-R Music X32. Also, What are the best CD Brand and type and what speed should I use to get better results. If I don't use "Music CD-R" media the CD's will not play at all.

If I don't use "Music CD-R" media the CD's will not play at all.

Are you saying your CD player is one of those which will play only the specially extra taxed and branded "Music" CD-R discs?

If that is the case you should consider replacing it, because you are going to be stuck with those particular blank CDs and problems forever. IMHO crippled players not worth the space they take up in the dashboard.

Brendon

Have I misssed something?

I have always read, and never had a problem.

'source cdrfaq.org'

"There is no advantage to using expensive "audio CD-Rs" or "music blanks". There is no difference in quality between consumer audio blanks and standard blanks from a given manufacturer."

Sure would like to know the MID for Maxell CD-R Music X32 disc's!

IamBlackHawk, would you look at a disc in DVDInfo Pro in EMC 9 tools and post the Media ID (MID)?
