I don't understand what you mean by "will burn CD's from existing VHS tapes." Do you want to create a video CD (VCD).? If yes then the answer is yes. You will need a proper capture device though. If you cannot get versionh 6 to run you will most likely not get EMC 10 to run either. Please list your computer specs, especially video card. Perhaps we can tell you if your system is capable of EMC 10. It is also a good idea to change you username unless you want a lot of spam mail.
