avogadro
Can anyone tell me if Spin Doctor is included in Toast 8 Titanium for Macintosh, or is Spin Doctor software that is purchased separately?
Gregory Kristin
Can anyone tell me if Spin Doctor is included in Toast 8 Titanium for Macintosh, or is Spin Doctor software that is purchased separately? Yes, CD Spin Doctor is in Toast 8 but it does not work well with Leopard. Many different problems exist. Some folks have minimal problems others have many problems running it on Leopard. I can use it but it introduces spurious noises, pops and buzzes that mess up recordings. Good luck, as Roxio seems overwhelmed by many problems with Toast, not the least of which is CD Spin Doctor. Do not expect any good support or quick resolution to Toast/Leopard issues. Greg

Greg Thanks Greg! I guess I'll continue to use Audacity as it has worked very well using Leopard.
Lee
Thanks Greg! I guess I'll continue to use Audacity as it has worked very well using Leopard. I have Audacity on my computer, but I'll be hornswaggled if I can figure out how to use it. Any suggestions? I want only to record my old tapes and LPs on to CD or iPod. . . . Thanks. GT Seattle
Thanks Greg! I guess I'll continue to use Audacity as it has worked very well using Leopard. Thanks Greg and Avogadro. I am attempting my first recording with Spin Doctor - latest version (4.02.333t) that came with Titanium 8 update. Both the previous version of Spin Doctor and this latest version crash when I attempt to do anything with the saved version of the recording I just made. Running Leopard on iMac with plenty of gigs of space on external drive for this recording. Note: Recording was 68 minutes long. I did see something about recordings can only be 45 minutes long in another posting. is that true and is that the reason why even though Spin Dr. will recogninze and open the file (and create a waveform) it crashes if I try and do anything with it? Assuming that I cannot get Spin Dr. to work, what is audacity and where can one get it? Thanks.
