mykeel
Can someone tell me if this old version will burn DivX videos from my computer? I realize there are a lot of details that may be needed for any in depth replies but if it is not possible there is no point in putting it all down in words. Got my PlexWriter 8/4/32A the same time as the ECDC5 software when it was new and have burned many music and vid disks (CD-RW/CD-R) for my own computer. Notice the video feature does not light up on mouse over. Recently bought a nice new DVD Player and new 32" Vizio TV. Tired of watching vids on my computer and want to graduate to the "big screen". Hope this is enough for a reasonable answer. I'm pretty much a newbie on some of this stuff. Any thoughts or sugestions would be a help. Thanks, Micheal
gi7omy
I presume you want to convert DivX to 'playable' DVD format - in that case, you need to upgrade to a later version which can do that
Brendon
If you have a "nice new DVD player" you should be able to play DivX movies on it from a data disc. In that case all you'll need is a basic burning program, and ECDC5 Basic will do that. Brendon

lynn98109
Right, Dave. "PlexWriter 8/4/32A" means writes CD-R at 8x, write CD-RW at 4x, and reads CDs at 32x. It's not going to know a DVD from a frisby - doesn't matter if it's plus or dash recordable. Lynn

You can put a 700MB DivX AVI onto a CD and play a 90 minute movie very nicely in a DivX capable player. The only time you need a DVD is if you want to put 6 full length movies or 12 TV episodes all onto the same disc. Regards, Brendon
