editing out a piece of movie

1. Is there a manual anywhere for EMC10?

2. I can't seem to figure out which of the little editing tools will cut out (get rid of) a small piece of movie when editing in My DVD. I can see how to split and movie start and finish but can't just cut out a piece. Must be something simple I'm not seeing. Thank you.

Watch the video here; it shows Video Wave (preferred) but you can also use the video editor in My DVD.

 

Be aware that edits in VideoWave do not automatically show up in MyDVD if you have already added the project to My DVD and edits in My DVD do not show up in VideoWave projects.

 

Thanks - this is good to know - I may have been battling with that. My latest problem which I seemed to have posted somewhere else, is that everything I have created with this edited file has NO SOUND in the finished DVD but the sound is fine in the Project.

1--Yes--Go to the EMC 10 Category listing and click on the "General" listing. At the top of the listing will be a file you can downlaod for the EMC 10 Manual.

 

2--Take a look at the tutorials that are mentioned in the Tips & Tricks listing and especially ones posted by Steve Knis. They are great and there is one that has just waht you are looking for.

 

BTW, most video editing is done in the Roxio program "Videowave" then saved and imported into MyDVD.
