Question

i am using easy creator 7. i like to make bachups of my movies so i don't have to take original movies to work with me. when i burn them they play fine for a good while but then they start getting choppy and freeze or even skip and i have no idea why. there are minor scratches cause i keep them in one of them dvd books that have the sleeves but they are not deep scratches and i have seen dvds with alot worse scratches play fine. i was wondering if anyone has any ideas what is wrong

If these are commercial copyrighted movies, EMC 7/7.5 cannot be used to make copies since thatis illegal.

"For a while" needs to be defined. Does this mean that after they have played well when used over a span of say, several weeks, they start to deteriorate; or does it mean that after burning when you try to play the disc the quality deteriorates as you proceed thru the movie?

"Minor scratches" - it depends on how they interfere with the transparancy of the disc and/or the data in the recording layer. "Minor scratches" is kind of vague.
