lupuscr78
If you are having the same problem, please try the same solutions. Thank you, Brendon Thanks for your suggestion Brendon, but the solution already suggested didn't work in my case. Windows Vista is recognizing the drive correctly as a recording device. It's only in Easy CD & DVD Burning that the drive is not detected. Besides Windows' built-in burning applications, I have no other disc-burning software installed in my computer and the Device Manager lists the drive as working properly. Thanks! lynn98109
There is an enormous lack of detail there, but my first reaction is to wonder if there is a burner there. So, first, are you trying to burn a CD or a DVD? Second, what is/are the id string of your drive(s)? (Right click on MyComputer > properties > Hardware > Device Manager, and copy it exactly, character for character, upper case or lower case, space for space) Lynn

lupuscr78
I am having the same problem. No drive is being detected under "Destination Selection" in the Easy CD & DVD Burning program. Windows Vista lists my optical drive without any problem, and blank CDs and DVDs are detected both by Windows and by the Roxio Drag-to-Disc application that got installed along with Easy CD & DVD burning. My optical drive is a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-852S unit, as listed by Windows' Device Manager. Thank you for any help in solving this problem
